Got the day off today after 3 nights of working..got of work this morning at about 4.20am with Mavis..we called a cab to take us home coz there was no buses at that time..while we were waiting, i saw one of my friends who works at the casino, Michelle..she was so nice to offer us a lift home =) work so far has been quite fun but i tend to get stressed up when it's busy coz there's so many guest ordering drinks and all the bar staff is running everywhere in the bar..so it gets quite crazy sometimes..haha!

Yesterday i started work at 8pm..not long after that there's this guest who got mad at me for not knowing the total price of his drinks..i think he just wanted to pick a fight coz he probably knows i'm new..well, you always get some of these people every now and then when your in the service industry..i mean even my team leader told me that she forgets the prices of the drinks sometimes and she can't remember all of them either..Hey! we're not computers or robots you know? Later on there's a young couple ordered 2 strawberry daiquiris, i had to make them and it took a lil while and they complained about the price when they were about to pay coz another placed had charged less than us and that it wasn't worth the time they waited..what do you expect? your in a casino hotel..HELLO! Then later on i served an older couple who were very nice and everytime they came back for more drinks i was the one who was there to serve them so i could remember what they ordered..they were so nice and happy that they'd gave me tips and later on tip me a second time which really made me feel better =)

Today i got up pretty late coz slept at like 5.30am..so watched a lil tv then later on met up with Eric for dinner coz Mavis is working and Robin & Alisha are staying at home..we just had noodles at a cafe in the city..then walked to the Mc Donald's that is open 24 hours next to the Esplanade to use their free wifi..was there for about 2 or 3 hours..after that both of us went home..the sister is coming to visit tmr and then my parents the day after =) yay! will update more soon..ciao!

What's been going on..

Hey..sry for not updating for quite some time..had alot going on since i last updated..had exams then had to move from where i'm staying in Adelaide, and i had to pack for my placement..i'm glad that i was able to meet up with my friends before i left for Cairns =) i just got to Cairns from Adelaide last thursday and it's already been a week since i'm here..well the weather here is the same as Malaysia, tropical weather, humid and it can get pretty hot when the sun is out..

Yesterday was my first day at work..started at 5pm but i was there almost an hour before >.<" shift ended at 1am but i left around 1.20-1.30am..tried to catch a cab home but none stopped for me so i eventually walked until i got home ==" i think i reached home around 2.05 or 2.10am..scary wei..luckily nothing happened..i didn't know that the hotel never provided transport for staff and at that time buses were already not in service..sigh..plan to get a bike to cycle to and from work..

Anyway i'm working later at 9.30pm until 6am *faints* first time working that time eventhough i have worked overnight shift once from 11pm to 7am..it's friday today so it should be really busy..tmr as well..i'm trying to get internet access while i'm here, still working on it..so i'll upload pics when it's settled..toodles!

Saturday!!! haha..got to sleep more today..really need it as i stayed up for the past few nights doing my major assignment for HR..finally handed it up yesterday and the only assignment i have left is on ethical eating, due on tuesday..chill first lar..these days are passing so fast! when you want it to go by faster it doesn't but when you don't want it to, it does! >.<" there are so many things to be done within these less than 2 weeks that i have left before i go for placement..gotta start studying for exam, pack for placement, etc..

Yesterday after class i came home then got ready to go out for church with my sis..while waiting for the bus my sis told me to go first coz she had to wait for Sumi..so i got on the bus and when i got off near church, it started raining! so.....RUN!!! luckily i wasn't totally drenched coz i was wearing a jacket so it got wet..i keep looking around for my lifegroup friends but don't see anyone around so sat by myself then after a while Timothy and Deborah came..

Dr. Alan Myer spoke on pain, God and other misconceptions..everyone has experienced pain in one way or another..people think that God has abandoned them and that He doesn't love them when they experience pain and when this happens, they withdraw from Him because they feel God doesn't care about them to an extent to where He would allow them to experience pain..after we have gone through pain, we not only grow but we come out stronger than before =) which is true..

After church we got a lift home from Judah and Xiao Wen..didn't go to have dinner so just simply ate what we got at home..haha..was tired so after eating we just chill, i did abit of work for the last assignment then went off to bed..had a long day..got up at about 12pm just now but snoozed until 1 something..hmm..now way pass lunch time already..need to find or get something to eat..very hungry!!! haha..toodles!

Sigh..assignments! 2 more!! major HR one is due tmr and one culinary practice report is due next week then no more assignments but need to study for exam already =( i wish i could spend Christmas, new year and chinese new year at home in Malaysia or Adelaide coz my family and friends are there..but i won't be able to T^T sigh! I haven't even start packing yet for my placement in Cairns and i haven't even gotten a place to stay there..to make things worse i'm leaving next next thursday and i'm going alone! actually i thought of going for class today but eventually i didn't go coz i was feeling very antisocial and i just wanted to stay in my room, be by myself and not do anything..i wish i could go out by myself to the beach or something but i don't have a car and it might be dangerous for me to go alone so i'm stuck at home..sigh..can i please not be me for a while? anyways, back to finishing HR..c ya!

Hangout!

Went to the beach today (Monday) with Shi Wei, Wei Fen, Sumi and my sister..Shi Wei's leaving tmr =( anyways, we had a good time of fun at the beach..Sheelaine came later on coz she had something to take care of..we first had yiros for lunch then chatted, played twister as well as other games on the sand..we also buried Sumi in the sand! haha..we were there like for four hours or so..nice weather but some of us kena sunburn >.<" so pain! photos are with Shi Wei and Wei Fen coz i didn't bring my camera..after that everyone went home..

Later on at night..we actually organized a gathering for Jolvin coz we heard he's also leaving for Melbourne to work..in the end tak jadi so at about 9 something some of us gathered at Joshua's place for poker tournament..haha..Sumi, Sheelaine, Matthew, my sister and I came then later Yong Ling came too..all together there's nine of us including Joshua, Bryan and Jonathan..i didn't really play..i'm not pro like "some people"! Lol..the game was on until like 1am or almost 1..i also don't remember what time already >.<"

Sumi and Sheelaine was gonna sleep over at our place so Yong Ling drove us to Shi Wei's house first coz she Shi Wei had stuff to pass to Sheelaine before she leave tmr..wait now is already 2.30am so it's today ^^" yeah today at 12 or 1pm..can't send her off at the airport with the rest coz i've got my placement talk session at uni..when we got to her house, i really liked the look of it..even the inside of the house is nice! she was staying with her sister and sister's husband..they owned a really cute cat but unfortunately the cat has a temper..aiya, so cute but cannot touch it..it looks like it's wearing mittens or socks..haha!

After Shi Wei's place, Yong Ling dropped the four of us back at our place..we just got back about half an hour or so or less than an hour ago..haha..nvm..actually on Sunday night, we also played poker at the guys place..hangouts like these with so many people are fun not just because of what we do together, but because of the company we get from those who are present..sigh..i'm really gonna miss these hangouts T^T! i miss everyone already!

Caught the 99c bus with Timothy, Deborah and my sister to Victoria Square this morning to get to church..while on the bus, there's this man who acted like he just came out of a village and never rode the bus before coz at one stop, he wanted to get off and thought the door's not gonna open for him to get out so he held the side bars of the bus door and shook it really hard hoping that the door would open =S he got scolded by the bus driver for doing that..

We got off and walked to church..after church we went to Brunelli on Rundle Street to have lunch..many people were there coz Shi Wei's leaving on Tuesday, so i guess most of them wanted to have lunch with her one last time just incase they won't be seeing her anymore before she leaves..there were probably like 20 people at lunch? haha..anyways couldn't really get everyone's face but i took views of my left and right..some people's face hidden also coz they were sitting too close to me d..that's all for now..toodles!
